FYEC 100

The First Year Experience Course (FYEC) seeks to meet the needs of all new students in their college transition by orienting them to the educational philosophy of COSTAATT, equipping them with coping skills and other general information on how to manage their learning and programme of study.

It is expected that through this orientation, new students will gain a better understanding of the context for teaching and learning at COSTAATT, the design and goals of their programme of study, and the established administrative and student support mechanisms.

Assessment of student learning outcomes in the FYEC course is achieved through two primary strategies: a journal and an electronic portfolio. This site is Nathaniel's e-portfolio for that work, and a place to keep documenting growth beyond the course.
